Studio Classes
Theater skills are life skills! CTM Teaching Artists are theater professionals - actors, directors, choreographers, and singers - who focus on creating a fun, supportive environment for the beginner and seasoned performer. CTM students gain confidence, develop collaboration skills, improve concentration, make life-long friends--all while enhancing their theater abilities. We hope to see you in class!
Location: CTM's Studios - 228 State Street, unless otherwise indicated.
Scholarships: CTM is able to offer full and partial scholarships for qualifying students... download qualification information and application form here. Simply e-mail Amy your scholarship application OR mail it to CTM at 228 State Street, Madison, WI 53703.
Application deadline is March 29th for Spring studio classes and June 1st for Summer Drama School classes. We will review all applications after the deadline and notify families two weeks before class starts.

2013 Spring Studio Classes
April 20 - June 8
All classes meet one hour each Saturday unless otherwise indicated.
Tuition: $160 per class.
IMAGINE THAT!
Beginning Acting / Ages 5 – 7 / Saturdays 9 – 10am This class is FULL
To sign up for a Wait List for the Spring session contact amy@ctmtheater.org with the following information: Student's name, your name, name of class, phone and email.
Create stories and characters and develop essential performance skills - the ability to listen and to work cooperatively - through theater games, movement and story drama.
BEST OF BROADWAY JR. The 10-11am class is FULL
Musical Theater / Ages 5 – 7 / Saturdays 11am – Noon
Best of Broadway Jr. introduces students to musical theater acting, movement and vocal techniques using scenes and songs from well-known musicals. Family and friends applaud the performance at the final class.
BEST OF BROADWAY SR.
Musical Theater / Ages 8 – 12 / Saturdays Noon – 1pm
Best of Broadway Sr. students strengthen vocal technique and learn how to make strong, dynamic character choices in a musical. There will be an informal presentation on the last day of class.
ACT OUT!
Acting / Ages 8 – 12 / Saturdays 1 – 2pm & Saturdays 2 – 3pm
Theater games, mime, and creative movement help students develop acting tools and the ability to work with others to create scenes. Young performers develop the self confidence needed to perform for an audience and will show off their new abilities in the final class.

Improvisation / Ages 8 – 12 / Saturdays 3 – 4pm
Improv performers think fast, take risks and work as part of a team! Improvisation basics and ComedySportz® rules will be introduced, and students will develop short and long form scenes. Family and friends won’t want to miss the energy packed show on the last day of class!

Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30pm / April 18 - June 6
Teen Improvisation / Ages 13 and up
Improvisation basics will be reviewed and ComedySportz techniques will be further developed in this teen improv class. Quick thinking, acceptance and narrative will be explored in short/long form scenes and challenging games. Students will test their new skills on the final day with a performance.
MUSICAL THEATER EXPRESS (Spring Break Only)
Monday & Tuesday, Mar 25 & 26 / 10am – 4pm
Intensive Musical Theater / Ages 13 – 17
Sing Out over Spring Break! This 2-day program includes solo singing, group harmonies, and light choreography. Led by acclaimed voice teacher Gail Becker, this intensive for intermediate and advanced performers concludes with a showcase performance at Overture Center.
