This is how we feel about our 44th Season of plays. And we believe this is how you, your family, and your friends will feel when you Experience CTM!
There are so many things to share with you about this season. What a lineup of plays!
- Little Women: The Musical – A co-production with Madison’s Four Seasons Theatre, the acclaimed Broadway adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic story comes alive onstage.
- A Christmas Carol - A holiday tradition! You won’t want to miss this year’s production of the Dickens classic, perfect for all generations.
- Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse – Madison’s renowned children’s author, Kevin Henkes, gave us the books; international humorist Kevin Kling brings them to the stage. Children will be delighted by seeing Lily and friends in full 3-D. (Adults welcome to giggle along!)
- Narnia –CS Lewis’ timeless story of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe rounds out our season. This musical production is filled with magic and mystery. Step through the wardrobe into the world of Narnia!
It’s a classic season for all ages. Talented actors – both adult and children – professional staging, dynamic stories, and truly affordable ticket prices make our mainstage season a great opportunity for everyone to experience first-rate live theatre right here in Madison, Wisconsin!
Off the stage, we continue to offer a wide variety of classes for the new and experienced young performer. During the summer we run our acclaimed Summer Drama School. Three-week sessions culminate in all-youth productions. The 2009 summer program presents Annie July 10-11And The Hobbit July 31st and August 1st; Summer productions are performed at the Frederick March Play Circle at the UW-Madison Memorial Union. The Children’s Theater of Madison is proud to be a resident organization of the Overture Center for the Arts, where all of our mainstage shows are performed.
